Msisika finally joins Zambian CHAN team

Belgium-based former Zambia international Lucky Msisika has finally joined the Africa Nations Championship-CHAN development team.
This finally puts to rest speculations that the former legendary winger had turned-down the offer to help George Lwandamina drill the African Nations Championship (CHAN) squad.
Msiska says he is excited to be part of the national team technical bench to drill the team.
In an interview at Lusaka’s Independence Stadium on Monday during his first training session, Msiska is optimistic of value additional to the Zambian development side.

Msiska, an assistant youth trainer at Belgian second division side FC Roeselare, and Zanaco mentor Wedson Nyirenda will assist George Lwandamina.
The former Zambian midfielder returns to the bench the second time after a previous brief stint in 2005.
Zambia starts the CHAN campaign against South Africa on May 22 in Johannesburg with the return leg billed for June 5.
Msiska is remembered for contributing a goal in Zambia’s 4-2 win over the then Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo) in the 1990 World Cup qualifier at Lusaka’s Independence Stadium.
He was also a member of the 1988 Seoul Olympics squad that comprised Kalusha Bwalya, Efford Chabala, Estone Mulenga, Derby Makinka, Wisdom Chansa, Charles Musonda, Johnson Bwalya and Stone Nyirenda, among others.
